Can Sanctions Work Against Iran?
As the US policy of engagement with Iran shifts now toward sanctions, some urgent questions must be raised as to whether and how sanctions could work. Mitchell Bard, in his "Myths and Facts," argues argues that sanctions are counterproductive and that the only two options left are military action and dealing with a nuclear iran. Neither is a good option, he says, but we shouldn't be caught in the illusion that there are any other choices.
